A man sits at a restaurant with an assortment of his co-workers. The man has gained a little bit of weight over the holidays. The restaurant has a diverse menu, calorically-speaking. It is now his turn to order.
Does a man:
a) Sheepishly order the salad, quietly asking for dressing on the side, fervently hoping his (male) coworkers won’t even notice he’s done it.
b) Order the salad and make a hearty joke of doing so by pating his belly proudly and saying, “Watching my gut, hehe!”
c) Order a burger or pasta without shame.
d) Order a burger or pasta and pretend to be happy while eating it, but secretly curse himself for contributing to his own fatness and contemplate when he’ll next be able to sneak off to the gym to atone for his caloric crime.
What does a man do?
A man walks into a cafe bathroom and defecates. As he finishes, he notices that he has left a pungent, if not remarkably foul, odor in the bathroom. He sees a can of Lysol air freshener above the toilet tank.
Does a man:
a) Spray a moderate amount of air freshener in the air, in the hopes of removing the most offensive top-notes of the stink, but not so much as to completely obliterate it?
b) Spray massive quantities of the air freshener, so that no one could possibly smell any of the stink he’s left in the bathroom?
c) Just walk out without spraying, unashamed—even a bit proud—of his own stink?
d) Double check that the doors are locked and stay crouched, ashamed in the bathroom, waiting for every last particle of stink to dissipate before leaving, even if it takes hours?
What does a man do?
A man drives on the highway and another car is in the process of pulling in front of him from the right.
Does a man:
a) Maintain his current speed and graciously allow the other car to pull in front of him?
b) Cut off the other car by accelerating and blocking their path in?
c) Decelerate slightly, making it as easy as possible for the other car to pull in front of him, even though he risks the irritation of any drivers behind him?
d) Give up and pull off the road altogether, this is just all too much for him?
